Touch of Thunder

(Blick to his friends)

From being very fortunate to get him and at a great value price, to the superb feedback from the pre-trainer, to the impression he has given everyone at Camilla's yard and all of those who have seen him in the flesh; He has done nothing but impress and please and ooze class and ability.

Camilla trained the dam of TOT and had remained a close contact of the breeder, so we were lucky enough to secure a private sale. Team Poulton can now look to build on the great success they had with Sweetheart and see how high we can take TOUCH OF THUNDER.

The plan is for TOT to make his racecourse debut towards the end of the summer, and after beginning in a bumper he will be brought along gradually. We considered a start before the end of the past jumps season but felt the extra time would be beneficial for such a big imposing horse. He is a very talented racehorse, so we will be treating him as such and giving him every advantage we can, so if he needs time. He will get time.

We will be aiming TOUCH OF THUNDER at the big meetings and the big races, we feel he will be a star.

TOT breezed through his pre-training in Ireland, and arrived in his new home in September 2021. He has continued to thrive, and demonstrates really maturity and an appetite to work, and learn. He also has a presence about him, he knows he is bred to be very good, and we are confident he will show it on the track.

Touch of Thunder is a stunning 4yr old gelding by impressive sire Beat Hollow out of an excellent mare, Sweetheart. This is a superb pedigree, which screams quality and potential.

The mare, Sweetheart, was a grade 2 winner over hurdles and won at Glorious Goodwood on the flat, and Beat Hollow is fast becoming a leading sire over jumps, with his shining light being Gold Cup winner, Minella Indo. Sweetheart won 7 races in total in a 35 race career, spanning 4 years. She excelled on the flat and over hurdles and accumulated over £100,000 in prize money for connections.
Beat Hollow was a superb race horse from a very strong Juddmonte Farms family. He won 6 of his 11 starts and pocketed over £1.2million for his connections.

MON COEUR, a Fame and Glory half-brother to TOT, breezed home in an Irish bumper last night which further enhances the value of TOT, the chances of him going on and being successful and give the overall family a boost.
JUKEBOX JIVE had already put the mare on the board as one who can produce good stock, but it is very positive to see MON COEUR win his bumper.

As you can see from the pictures, this is a lovely racehorse and it is quite remarkable that we still have shares available in him, although there isn't a lot of them left.

You can see more information on what we have left in TOT by clicking here, or you can email me on craig.mckenna@crowdracing.co.uk.
